Nanu's Hankie

This design was inspired by Bonny Woomer's grandmother (they called her Nanu). It was her home in Old Town Alexandria, VA. Nanu grew grapes along the fence in the backyard and made grape jelly every summer. The boarder design is from one of her hankies that she always seemed to have tucked in her sleeve. She taught Bonny to sew, embroider and crochet when she was young. Bonny dedicates this design to her memory. Stitched on Weeks Dye Works 35ct Straw, using Weeks Dye Works, Gentle Arts and Classic Colorworks threads.
